How should we market it?

Hey ,

Not gonna lie. I'm lost!

In case you need a reminder, we created 100 temp tattoo prototype kits and tested it out in workshops, events, you name it.

Now we're building 60 new kits, with the intention of selling it as a standalone product.

But truth be told, I'm not sure which direction to take...
Do we sell to henna artists? corporate event planners? or anyone with no artistic background?

Let's break it down...

For Henna Artists:

  • Pro: Already familiar on how to hold and draw with a cone. Which would mean less work in needing to create instruction cards or particular tutorials. Also they're probably already searching for 'Henna' or 'Jagua' in Google & Youtube. Two search sites I already rank for.

  • Con: Might already have a trusted supplier, so it could be tougher to penetrate. Would a henna artist really be interested in a temp tattoo kit? Not sure..?

For Anyone (no artistic background):

  • Pro: This is a way bigger market, people love trying new things; from craft makers to festival goers.

  • Con: After seeing how people responded to the prototype kits during workshops, it’s clear they enjoy the experience, but without me guiding them in person, I’m not confident they can create a great design on their own. That puts the kits at risk of poor reviews, which means I’d need to invest heavily in tutorials, instruction cards, and support materials to set them up for success.

For Corporate Event Planners:

  • Pro: They’ve got budgets, love unique branded experiences, and these kits could be perfect for gifting, onboarding, or company retreats.

  • Con: Way longer sales cycle. Which means I would really have to push and network with event planners to sell. But also the kits would need to be highly customizable because I predict that want their own branding (not my own).

I think I'm leaning on one group over the other, but I'd like to hear from you... what would you do?

Sending good vibes,

Nadine
