Hey ,

My small but mighty team (of 3) has been hard at work behind the scenes, launching a product line of temporary tattoo kits and henna - and I’m pulling back the curtain to give you a sneak peek.

So, last week, my husband and I finally took our honeymoon trip to Mexico.

Yeah, I said “finally.” Despite being married for years, as immigrants, we never had the whole wedding thing—life always had us flying back to Egypt to visit family.

If you follow me on Instagram, you’ve probably seen some of the highlights by now. But if you haven't, some pics below...

Now, the trip was funded by the tattoo & henna biz (yes, there was that much hustle involved), but it wasn’t a quick “oh, let’s book a flight next week” kind of deal.

It took years of steady work to get to this point.

Problem was, the trip overlapped with our content shoot schedule, which would domino into the launch of the YouTube channel.

A channel dedicated to temp tattoo & henna tutorials meant to make your life easier and hype up the tattoo/henna kits later this year.

But, because I’m nothing if not a multitasker (& the type to totally ignore jet lag), I packed up my henna/jagua cones, some tech gear, and decided—why not shoot in Mexico?

Gorgeous views, summer vibes - fitting for henna/jagua content.

Here's where it gets funny.

We were hotel hopping, so each time we checked in, I had to figure out where to store my henna and jagua.

No hotel room had a freezer, so I ended up handing it over to the kitchen staff like, “Can you keep this weird gel cold for me? It’s for work... I swear.”

While I managed to get a few cute pics of me tattooing my husband, I needed a good chunk of uninterrupted time to film the actual YouTube tutorial.

So, I strategically left our last day open to just hang out at the beach hotel and focus on shooting.

Our final hotel was three hours away, and halfway there, it hit me - I left the henna and jagua in the freezer at the last hotel.

It’s like my brain has a “forget” button for important things.

And just like that, the tutorial dreams were officially over.

When life throws you a curveball (or in my case, a forgotten freezer full of henna), it’s easy to feel like you’ve failed.

In this case, it's just another funny story to share in our unraveling journey of building a temp tattoo henna empire.

Has this ever happened to you, ? Have you ever turned up to an event and realized you actually forgot your cones in a deep ditch freezer?

Please tell me I'm not the only one...

Sending Good Vibes,

Nadine
