Hey ,

Quick recap: I’m launching a YouTube channel to build buzz around the henna & temporary tattoo kits.

Instead of jumping straight into sales, I want to build a community first, see what people need, and create kits packaged with courses that teaches artists how to use them — and turn it into their full-time jobs.

My video agency team (hi Starlit Studio!) and I recently tested our YouTube setup.
(Below are our video test snapshots).

Test Shot

They’re in Egypt, I’m in cold Toronto, and they remote-guided me through camera and tripod setup. Somehow, despite the distance, it was smooth!

Until… it wasn’t. After spending what feels like a mortgage on gear, turns out the mic’s a dud.

Tech support, switching laptops and cameras—nothing worked. And of course, no returns because it's unboxed. Classic!

What really sucks?

Our shoot was set for next week, but without a working mic, we’ll have to delay it.

This means our YouTube launch is getting pushed from late Feb to early March. Ugh, the domino effect!

Yep, these are the behind-the-scenes moments they don’t show you. It honestly feels like assembling up IKEA furniture with the manual.

But I’m still hopeful we can hit that Feb deadline. What do you think? Could really use some encouragement right about now!

Sending Good Vibes,

Nadine
